A BIT ABOUT ME: By Deb Stetson, August 29, 2012
This is me at one of my favorite events--a Summer Institute for teachers who want to improve the way their kids learn math. I am currently the Project Director for the California Mathematics Project at Sac State which is fancy for saying that I create, manage and implement professional learning opportunities for K-12 teachers of mathematics. My partner in this endeavor is CSUS Mathematics Professor, Scott Farrand, and our two other partners are Rick West (UC Davis Mathematics Specialist) and Kim Elce (CSUS Mathematics Associate Professor). I have been working with this team since the summer of 1999 when I left Roseville High School, where I have taught math for 13 years.
